The Thesis Sociodemographic profile of Salesians and their declared Path to the Order exemplified on the Salesian community in Prague - Kobylisy is a microprobe into the life of selected religion community in Czech Republic. Theoretical part of the work provides a survey of the religious attitudes of the population based on statistical data of last several decades, basic data of the origins and history of the Salesians abroad and in our country, including conduct of this Fellowship and Roman Catholic church during difficult years of communist rule in this country. It also describes activities of the Salesians community after its restoration in 1990 until nowdays. Center of the work is however its empirical part. It covers original qualitative research of Salesian site in Praha - Kobylisy carried out between July 2008 and June 2009 including participant observation and unstructured interviews with selected sample of respondents of mentioned community. These talks were then subjected to the analyse from the sociodemographic and declared path to the Order standpoint of view.
