Summary: | The thesis "Adolescent Self-Injury Behavior" deals with self-injury in adolescence especially with the regard to the Czech Republic. It provides the basic theoretical demarcation of self-injury as a basis for following practical part. Transcribed and processed interviews bring two different perspectives on self-injurious behavior in adolescence. First, there is an interview with self-injuring girl, than with psychiatrist who meets the self-injury in his practice. Processed survey, which is the subject of the third part, was conducted as a questionnaire among students of secondary level of education in Karlovy Vary. Its primary purpose was to determine at least tentatively the occurrence of self-injury behavior among adolescents in Karlovy Vary and its distribution between the sexes.
