Summary: | This work aims at studying and depicting a small town Pecka municipality within the time of 17th and 18th centuries, both based on the local town books. Introductory part gets the reader to know Carthusians, Pecka suzerain, as well as the Pecka domain itself and its administration. As Pecka town books have been the main archival source, its classification (accompanied by the characteristics of the town office) comes next. The core of the thesis unveils the activities of the municipality and to understand all of them, showing historical background, rules of the parish administrative and the guild system has been added as a must. |
