| Summary: | Resumé: Audiovisual work The purpose of my thesis is to analyze legal regulations of audiovisual work in Czech Republic, contained in The Act No. 121/2000 Coll. (Copyright Act). The reason for my research is that audiovisual work is a very interesting subject from legal point of view, especially due to its complex nature. The thesis is composed of seven chapters, each of them dealing with different aspects of audiovisual work. Chapter One is introductory and defines the concept of audiovisual work. The chapter is subdivided into three parts. Part One describes relevant legislation. Part Two deals with concept of audiovisual work and its characterization and Part Three describes categorization of audiovisual work. Chapter Two examines author's works used in audiovisual work. Chapter Tree describes problem of authorship of audiovisual work. Chapter Four, consisting of four parts, concentrates on problems of audiovisual works copyrights. Part One focuses on license contract in general. Parts Two and Three investigate license contract between an author of audiovisual work and a producer of audiovisual records and also license contract between an author of work used in audiovisual work and a producer of audiovisual records.
