Description
Summary:MBA Professional Report === Approved for public release; distribution is unlimited. === MBA Professional Report === Approved for public release; distribution is unlimited. === This MBA Project documents a case study of an ongoing reorganization effort at the Supply Chain Management Center (SCMC), Marine Corps Logistics Command (MARCORLOGCOM), and their use of the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) Model and the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) to develop performance metrics based on sound processes. The primary focus was on the SCMC. In addition, the Source Management Department, one of SCMC's subordinate units, was a secondary focus. Background information about SCOR and BSC were reviewed, as well as what has been implemented thus far with SCMC. Finally, considerations regarding the assessment and management of suppliers were offered as recommendations.
