Description
Summary:This thesis document was issued under the authority of another institution, not NPS. At the time it was written, a copy was added to the NPS Library collection for reasons not now known.  It has been included in the digital archive for its historical value to NPS.  Not believed to be a CIVINS (Civilian Institutions) title. === The object of this study la to investigate the pressure and temperature changes in this region of the Tropopause over stations in the United States and to attempt to seek relationships which might clarify or explain the reason for those phenomena that we know to exist in the upper Troposphere. We are particularly interested in those phenomena which give a variation of Tropopause height with a corresponding change of pressure at the nine kilometer level, and the temperature-height curves associated with such changes of atmospheric conditions.
