Description
Summary:Approved for public release; distribution unlimited. === This thesis presents the design and testing of a microcomputer controlled data acquisition system for an acoustical imaging system. Analog sinusoidal signals are processed through a 256 channel analog multiplexer to high speed phase and amplitude detection channels. Analog to digital conversion is accomplished with a microcomputer peripheral module. Data storage then follows in a 64K byte peripheral memory. Interface with a cassette tape recording system is accomplished for data transferral.
