In addition, this paper will examine business process improvement as a means of making processes more efficient prior to the development of an information system. This research targets the development of information systems by the Naval Construction Force. An ancillary objective of this thesis is to provide the Naval Construction Force with a framework for developing integrated information systems. Throughout this research, the SISP methodology of Information Engineering will be used to make comparisons to corporate business that use this strategy and applications within the Naval Construction Force.
