Summary: | The general problem of the mixed-layer depth ot the ocean's
surface layers is discussed. Wind mixing and its contribution to mixedlayer
depth at ocean station Papa during the year 1958 is evaluated and
discussed. A model of mixing by wind-generated wave motion is developed
and is tested along with two other models; and the results are discussed.
