It develops an analytical approach whose ideas and framework are largely based on available sources on political corruption across all fields of knowledge. I have thus eliminated what I consider as a radical and focused approach in the study of political corruption in government institutions, be it by economists, or social scientist. I used all possible available sources on the subject of political corruption in all disciplines and fields of study. I have also used different theories, concepts, principles, and understanding of political corruption as tools of analysing and evaluating political corruption in government institutions. The Mpumalanga Rural Housing Project was solely chosen as a case study primarily because it presented an excellent polemical context of illustration for some of the arguments raised in this study. Most importantly the Mpumalanga Rural Housing Project is used in the study to illustrate and demonstrate the major threat that political corruption may pause in the development of a nation or country, especially on efficient and effective service delivery of a government. 2019-09-17T12:12:58Z 2019-09-17T12:12:58Z 2002 2019-09-17T11:19:12Z Master Thesis Masters http://hdl.handle.net/11427/30549 eng application/pdf Faculty of Humanities Department of Political Studies
