Description
Summary:The objective of the study was to identify the facilitators and inhibitors of excessive absenteeism in a mining environment. Absenteeism can be one of the most important human resource issues in any organisation. Absenteeism can be really difficult, but with good understanding of what causes absenteeism and how to reduce it, organisations can limit the negative side effects of employee attendance issues. Absenteeism is not only a behaviour caused by an individual's characteristics, but also system behaviour of organisations, and it harmfully affects performance in organisations. It is a multifaceted problem that needs investigation. === Thesis (MBA) North-West University, Mafikeng Campus, 2013
