I will examine five stories, beginning with the Cajun tale The Frog and the Princess, then continue with the Balinese version, The Frg Prince, the Krean The Toad and the Bridegroom, the Scandinavian the Enchanted Toad, ad lastly the Russian tale, The Frog Priness. I will compare and contrast each story to the Grimm's version, and then speculate as to the reasons behind each variation.
