Included in this thesis are two essays that deal specifically with multimedia composition ("Multimedia Composition, Process Pedagogy, and First Year Writing," and "Why Not Hypertext?"), a bibliographic essay that serves as an introduction to alternate style, one student-centered pedagogical paper that addresses the hazy issue of "voice" in student writing, and a teaching philosophy paired with an essay that deals with the issues that gay teachers face in small composition classrooms.
