Description
Summary:Zymancer is an approximately 13 minute work for what is essentially a chamber orchestra, but with just one player to a part. Though it is written and performed as a single movement, there are three main formal sections of the piece that could be considered movements. These three sections are distinct from each other in tempi, meter, harmony, and mood. There is, however, a return of material from the first section at the end of the third. === A Thesis Submitted to the School of Music in Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree of Master of Music. === Spring Semester, 2003. === April 9, 2003. === Musical Composition === Includes bibliographical references. === Mark Wingate, Professor Directing Thesis; Ladislav Kubik, Committee Member; Peter Spencer, Committee Member.
