The effect of dielectric constant on the kinetics of the bromacetate-thiosulphate reaction

1. The variation of the rate of the bromacetate-thiosulphate reaction has been studied with respect to variation in temperature, ionic strength and dielectric constant. 2. Description
Summary:1. The variation of the rate of the bromacetate-thiosulphate reaction has been studied with respect to variation in temperature, ionic strength and dielectric constant. 2. Within the limits of experimental error, the energy of activation is independent of the dielectric constant and the variation in rate is due to changes in the entropy of activation.
