Summary:Improving cartilage repair is a problem faced by scientists and clinicians alike who study and treat a wide variety of diseases including osteoarthritis (OA). OA has recently been seen with greater frequency in the western world due to the increasingly aging population. At present the possibility of using multipotent cells in treatments for OA is an exciting possibility that has been met with difficulties.
