Description
Summary:The work presented in this thesis utilises the HIRAC chamber for the development and characterisation of instrumentation for measurements of OH and HO₂ radicals, and OH reactivity. This instrumentation is implemented, alongside other standard measurements, following oxidation of processes of butanol, a potential biofuel, focussing on OH reactivity and ozone formation. Results from further development of calibration methods for determining the sensitivity of a FAGE instrument are presented.
