These findings were discussed in relation to their grounding in the literature, the limitations of the study and implications for future research: In this study, we explored the experiences of pregnancy for women with phenylketonuria (PKU) in Northern Ireland. A rationale is presented in relation to relevant gaps in the literature. The methodology used was qualitative in nature. Data was collected using semi-structured interviews and analysed using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). Three superordinate themes were presented and discussed.
