Description
Summary:This research was initiated in order to study the chronology of emplacement of the Coastal batholith of Central Peru particularly to find out if the batholith had evolved by a continuous or an episodic process of intrusive activity. Some 135 new K.Ar age determinations on mineral separates from igneous rocks of the western Cordillera of Central Peru are presented and produce a broad spectrum of ages between 98 and 3 m.y.
