Description
Summary:Government policy has resulted in a significant growth in numbers entering higher education over the past two decades. This has had an impact on the labour market with an increasing number of graduates searching for employment. Concerns about graduate employment have led to policy measures aimed at encouraging graduate employment in SMEs. Providing work placements in SMEs is regarded as one way of encouraging increased graduate SME employment. However, what impact placements have on increasing graduate SME employment remains unclear. This study investigates the impact of SME placements on intentions to seek SME employment.
