Description
Summary:This thesis applies multivariate analysis to three European datasets included in the 1999 ESPAD project to explore cross-national differences in drug use among British, Swedish and Greek teenagers. It focuses on the crucial interplay of individual-level and sociocultural factors on drug use. Individual-level factors include the most frequently cited variables within the three main sociological theoretical approaches to the study of deviance (self-control, social -family- bonding and differential association theory).
