Whether its editor was of much, or little account to his own contemporaries we do not know. Certainly to-day his fame rests solely upon his - Psalter, and for his patient labour upon that book posterity owes him a large measure of gratitude The St-Andrews Psalter the earliest harmonised metrical Psaltor extant in Scotland. It was compiled by Thomas Wod, or Wode, Reader in the post-Reformation Church, and Vicar of St. Andrews from 1575 until his death.
