Indices of external power output in men and women
The purpose of this thesis was to compare maximal exercise performance in young (21 22 y) men and women. Lean leg volume (LLV), lean upper leg volume (LULV) and lean thigh area (LTA) were assessed in a group of 20 men and 35 women. The subjects performed a maximal exercise test (OP) on a friction br...

Summary: | The purpose of this thesis was to compare maximal exercise performance in young (21 22 y) men and women. Lean leg volume (LLV), lean upper leg volume (LULV) and lean thigh area (LTA) were assessed in a group of 20 men and 35 women. The subjects performed a maximal exercise test (OP) on a friction braked cycle ergometer and external peak power output (OPP) and the rpm corresponding to OPP (ORPM) were calculated. |
