Description
Summary:This research was concerned with the development of a new method or modification of an existing method for the determination of the acidity in cellulose triacetate dope. Several indicators with concentration ranges of 0.02% to 1. 0% were used in order to elucidate which one would yield the sharpest change. Indicators used were Bromothymol Blue, Phenol Red, Cresol Purple and Thymolph-thalein. The results indicated that Phenol Red yielded the best visible color.
