To obtain this objective, the following areas were addressed by the researcher: (a) characteristics of the clients in the outpatient facility, (b) issues relating to drug and alcohol use, (c) issues related to current treatment, (d) general knowledge questions. An exploratory research design was used in the study. A self administered questionnaire was given to the methadone maintenance clients in an outpatient clinic located in Atlanta, Georgia. The results of the study indicated that there is no significant difference in client preference towards treatment between the methadone maintenance and methadone detoxification client(s) in an outpatient treatment setting. The estimated value is .1415, with DF 3.792, and a 2-tail probability of .059. 1996-05-01T07:00:00Z text application/pdf http://digitalcommons.auctr.edu/dissertations/3490 http://digitalcommons.auctr.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=5013&context=dissertations ETD Collection for AUC Robert W.
