Space Systems Division International Telemetering Conference Proceedings / October 13-16, 1986 / Riviera Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada The data capacity of aerospace PCM telemetry systems can be greatly improved by the application of data compression techniques, which exploit the redundancy in typical telemetry data. This paper describes the design concept for a compressed PCM (CPCM) telemetry system, and contrasts system design considerations to those involved in development of a conventional PCM system. Simulation results are presented depicting potential benefits from use of telemetry data compression on an upper-stage launch vehicle. 1986-10 text Proceedings 0884-5123 0074-9079 http://hdl.handle.net/10150/615422 http://arizona.openrepository.com/arizona/handle/10150/615422 International Telemetering Conference Proceedings en_US http://www.telemetry.org/ Copyright © International Foundation for Telemetering International Foundation for Telemetering |
