Description
Summary:International Telemetering Conference Proceedings / October 13-16, 1986 / Riviera Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada === This paper decribes a system design developed for the McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Company to log high-speed telemetry data in real time and archive selected time slices immediately after a test event. The system utilizes off-the-shelf, state-of-the-art equipment to accomplish logging rates in megabytes per second and storage capacities in the gigabyte range. This combination of Computer disk-logging equipment and PSL-developed interfaces enhances the capability of capturing large amounts of highspeed telemetry data in real time. This provides the user access to critical parameters which determine the next phase of the test. This paper describes the design specifications creating the need for and the application of the design in its final form.
