Interviews were conducted with staff at a Tucson-based domestic abuse shelter and LGBT community center, victims and other locals to create two news features. The first story details one victim’s abusive relationship and offers context with background information on domestic abuse. The second story focuses on the challenges the Tucson LGBT community faces in combatting domestic abuse. The news features were packaged together with sidebars and photos to simulate the construction of a magazine. |
