Summary: | Teacher efficacy has been linked to positive outcomes in general education students. The current study examined three special education teachers and one special education paraeducator at Catalina Magnet High School in Tucson, AZ. Efficacy levels of educators in personal and general teacher efficacy, student engagement, instructional strategies, and classroom management were measured and compared against subjective student outcomes as measured by open-ended interview questions. No correlation was found between personal teacher efficacy and subjective student outcomes of students with disabilities, the focus of the study; however, the findings point the direction for future research in the subject.
