It begins with a classification of planning and design elements of placemaking and an identification of the role of the community in the placemaking process. Selected Tucson downtown plans are evaluated to determine the extent to which the placemaking elements are reflected in the plans. Finally, observational findings on any placemaking elements from the plans that were implemented are presented. |
