A scheme for identification of a set of nonlinear equations
A method for the identification of a nonlinear set of equations is presented. The method is based on the work done by Harendra, Tripathi, Kudva, and Luders for linear identification. The nonlinear equations are linearized ancl the coefficients of the linear equations are allowed to vary so the input...

A method for the identification of a nonlinear set of equations is presented. The method is based on the work done by Harendra, Tripathi, Kudva, and Luders for linear identification. The nonlinear equations are linearized ancl the coefficients of the linear equations are allowed to vary so the input/output relationship of the two sets of equations are the same. The variation of the coefficients of the linear equations are then identified using a forra of Narendra's, et al, identification scheme.
The scheme was used to identify a set of nonlinear equations that describe the motion of a STOL vehicle. Two control schemes were employed. The first control program maintained the states close to an equilibrium position and the second caused the states to vary from one equilibrium to another. === Master of Science |
