Description
Summary:The study of accessibility is a field of vast methodological depth. In combination with the study of segregation suddenly this field of science expands, and at the same time asks us even more questions than before. This study asks the question if the segregation factor in combination with income can determine the level of accessibility in an aggregated population. The article explains different approaches to answer these questions and explores a method made available with aggregated public data in combination with data made available from Uppsala’s public transport administration. This process is complex and is much dependent on the context, but both the segregation factor and higher incomes has a significant negative effect on the level of accessibility.
