The research acted as a foundation when developing a system that integrates an online booking service for hotels and hostels with access control systems. The project resulted in two prototypes that together automates the creation and insertion of codes into an access control system in a fault-tolerant manner. The integration plays an important part in expanding the booking service's market as facilities with access control systems do not have to manually insert codes into the access control system for every new booking.
