Summary:Signing documents is something that happens a lot in today’s society. Because of this, it is desired by many to be able to perform the signing procedure in and easy, effective and available way. To achieve this an online digital signing service application has been implemented in .NET. The resulting application uses the accepted Swedish authentication mechanism BankID to authenticate users, before allowing them to sign and manage documents. The application is a prototype but provides the desired functionality.The thesis also contains a theoretical study in the subject of web application security, presenting general web application attacks and weaknesses and how to deal with these.
