Sweden has been characterized as a multicultural country and the same applies to integration policy. In recent years however, the Swedish integration policy has been questioned as to whether it really has succeeded or is durable. The purpose of this study is to investigate if the purpose of integration policy has been changed from multiculturalism to assimilation as a goal. The integration policy will therefore be studied to see how it has evolved with time. The study will be based on the labor market and education committee's reports which summarize the parliamentary parties' bills. The methods that are used are the qualitative text analysis which is combined with a qualitative and quantitative discourse analysis. The result and the conclusion of the study has demonstrated that multiculturalism still lives on in Sweden, however it’s not the same multiculturalism that existed before 2015. Swedish integration policy has changed from having multiculturalism as its goal to a multiculturalism with weaker features of an assimilation policy. In today's Sweden, for example, language and social orientation are more important in the integration process and are emphasized more than what the parties have emphasized before.
