The reason I selected play as the topic is that many times I have been thinking about the concept of "play" and the term has come back often during my education as a preschool teacher and I have noticed that both in practice and through my professional experience.Depending on the purposes of this study, a qualitative study is the type that suits these types of aims. In my study, I have chosen to find out the various teachers' views by interviewing selected educators. The reason that I choose this type of method is to hear directly from the teachers their views on the study. This study has four main parts which are the importance of play in children's learning and development in general and of the interviewed teachers' perspective, if children’s games differ depending on the child's gender, games variation depending on the child's age and finally the teachers role and how to use the game as a teaching method and educational approach in preschool. International curriculum and guidelines and previous research and literature have given the play in preschool great importance and great focus. Educators should be aware of the variation in children's play, depending on sex and age, as it characterizes the child's development. Play is nearly the entire life of the child and to be able to get into the child's world and discover it you need to know the nature and character of play for each child depending on the child's age, gender and level of development.
