By doing this the ability to have daily updated aerial satellite maps occurs and that could be really interesting for scientific and commercial purposes. To make this work an automated process was created that downloaded the images from Copernicus and processed them with GDAL to create the maps. The process deals with the issues of mosaicing, reprojection and unattended downloads amongst other things.
