This thesis is a study of female politicians and power in Sweden and in the Philippines. Do the female politicians perceive that they have just as much power as the males have? I have interviewed 18 female politicians in a small city in Sweden, and 12 female politicians in the local and provincial politic in the Philippines. Are there some differences between being a female politician in these two countries? Yes, there are lots of differences. The men and women work together in the politic in the Philippines under the same condition. In Sweden the female work on males rules. This creates problems to get equality, and to share the power between men and women. s Keyword: Female politician, power, equal, Philippines
