Archetypal patterns as the shadow and the anima figure are explored, primarily, in the dreams and the fantasies of the protoganist. The essay starts by giving a brief introduction to C.G.Jung and his theory on psychological maturity and then it dwells on the analyzing of the Jungian features; the shadow and the anima, in the novel.
