Summary:The purpose of this study was to contribute knowledge regarding how preschool teachers discuss positive aspects in the children's conflicts in preschool. The following two questions guided the study: How do preschool teachers discuss the importance of conflicts for values education? How do preschool teachers discuss the importance of conflicts for children's learning? Data was collected through an internet-based questionnaire which eight preschool teachers answered. Follow-up questions were sent to the participants via e-mail in order to receive even more detailed answers. The results revealed two main categories: The positive impact of conflicts in the work of values and When conflicts become a learning experience. The results of the study showed in part that preschool teachers talk about different values with the children such as they get to practice empathy and being able to express their feelings. The preschool teachers stressed the importance of talking to the children about how to create and maintain good relationsships. Furthermore, preschool teachers also point out that conflicts are good practice for the future when and to become independent individuals.
