I did my interviews with teachers, to collect information about their work with storytelling and story reading in preschool and what they think about the children’s language. I chose four teachers who work in different apartments for my interviews. I asked questions about language, narrate and reading. What the teachers thinks about this parts and how the work with it. The result of the investigation shows that it is a high grade of aware in the preschools, when it comes to the children’s language. How the teachers work with it in a playfully way to stimulate the child’s aware of the language. All teachers agree that it’s important to stimulate the children’s language in preschool, in the interview they tell me what they do and how they are working to strengthen the children’s language. The conclusion is that the teachers in a high grade of aware uses rhymes, string of words, reading and communication with the children to support them in the development of their language. One thing that I missed in the work with the children’s language and that the teachers also told me that they didn’t do much is the narrate part, like tell the children a story. To develop the narrate skill, the child needs training in it. Get the possibility to train the skills with adults and other kids. The teachers tries to take care of the daily situations that gives the child training in the narrate skill.
