Summary: | Various theoretical and experimental works in the fields of conceptual complexity, information processing, electroencephalography, and brain trauma are reviewed. A model of conceptual complexity is then derived which utilizes some of the viewpoints and data found in these works, and also is mainly consistent with current knowledge about cognitive processes. A more detailed review of the conceptual complexity literature is then presented, along with an analysis of the implications
of the present model with respect to that literature. Appendices contain other implications of the model in other fields, as well as an outline of a research program. === Arts, Faculty of === Psychology, Department of === Graduate
