Summary: | The literature and research on the interaction between fantasies and depression is extremely limited and there has been no research on the interaction of these two forces during adolescence in females. The two basic possibilities that fantasies may contribute to depression or help to alleviate it are offered. The study presented utilizes a case study approach from a Narrative perspective. Multiple functions of fantasy are revealed, contributing to a complex interaction between fantasy and depression.
