Summary:碩士 === 僑光科技大學 === 國際貿易研究所 === 104 === Reading is the basis for all kinds of learning, and reading comprehension is the ultimate goal. This study is to probe if reading comprehension is affected by reading motivation which includes the exterior motivation, interior motivation, social factors and leisure factors. Especially this study creates a new facet of reading motivation – Leisure factor. It means parents use 3C games as a reward to develop reading behavior, enhance reading comprehension. It was proven through factor analysis that the leisure factor of reading motivation is statistically significant. Social factors and leisure factors have a significant impact on reading comprehension. interior motivation, leisure factors and reading comprehension have a significant correlation. Children’s intrinsic factors and reading comprehension also have a positive correlation. However, the new concept of leisure factors and reading comprehension have a negative correlation that too much leisure will decrease reading comprehension.
