The theory of Taguchi method applies on the technical high school mechanical thread turning related teaching materials to find the cutting factor, get the best combination of parameters and carry out cutting verification to understand whether the surface roughness of the finished workpiece meets the standard. Finally, we also prove that the important degree of influence and contribution of processing factors with ANOVA analysis of variance. 1. The best process parameters of low carbon steel material: 80r.p.m. for rotating speed, P40 hand-grinding tungsten carbide turning tool for turning tool, 30∘ oblique angle method for thread turning method, water transfer oil for cutting agent, and maximum radial depth of 0.32mm. 2. The best process parameters of aluminum alloy: 250r.p.m. for rotating speed, P40 hand-grinding tungsten carbide turning tool for turning tool, combined feeding method for thread turning method, engine oil for cutting agent, and maximum radial depth of 0.32mm. 3. The best process parameters of medium carbon steel: 250r.p.m. for rotating speed, P40 hand-grinding tungsten carbide turning tool for turning tool, combined feeding method for thread turning method, clear water for cutting agent, and maximum radial depth of 0.28mm.
