A total of 398 flight attendants of China Airlines were selected as research objects through convenient sampling. The questionnaire survey was conducted by using “Personality Scale”, “Family Support Scale”, “Learning Motivation Scale” and “Work Adjustment Scale”. The survey results were analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, correlation analysis, hierarchical regression analysis and other statistical methods to verify the research hypothesis. Main findings of this research are as follows: 1.The personality traits and family support of flight attendants are significantly related to and affect their off-job learning motivation. 2.The personality traits of flight attendants is also different from those of other industries. In the aspect of empathy, since flight attendants belong to the service industry and have higher empathy in personality, and the work content of flight attendants is regular, and the workplace environment is less competitive, the challenge of growth is relatively low. 3.In the aspect of family support, flight attendants receive more emotional support but less information support. Family support is also significantly related to off-job learning motivation. 4.Off-job learning motivation is significantly related to job adjustment. The higher the off-job learning motivation of flight attendants, the higher the job adjustment. 5.Flight attendants’ off-job learning motivation is a mediating variable between personality and family support on job adjustment. The mediating effect of off-job learning motivation for personality on job adjustment is higher than that of family support.
