Summary: | 博士 === 輔仁大學 === 心理學系 === 108 === Up to now, as a paradigm of counseling psychology for theory and tools, Holland interest theory has been widely adopted by researchers. However, some researchers (such as Armstrong, Rounds & Hubert, 2008) have noted the limitations of using only one interest counseling model. In terms of Taiwan's counseling system, high school students are the group who contact career counseling most frequently. For them, except for Holland interests, academic knowledge could be another way to expand their career development and further understanding. The first reason is that students can find the short-term to mid-term career path to the majors at college through the academic knowledge activities. Secondly, knowledge has influenced both the "college choice plan based on personal knowledge and interest" and the "study environment provided by the college system". Therefore, through the study of the knowledge structure, this study will link the relationship between interest and knowledge, and expand the understanding of the academic world as important as work world. This study hopes to inject new vitality into the structure of interest and even other psychological features by comparing the structure formed by knowledge orientation with the structure of interest.
By taking the potential combination of constructive knowledge, as assumed by the Concentric-Circles Structure (Tracey & Rounds, 1995) or the Atlas of Individual Differences (Armstrong & Rounds, 2008), we can integrate the knowledge structure with the interest model and then develop potential new-circumplex structure and the theory of interest. The study will simultaneously compare and analyze the work knowledge and work interests of the career database in the U.S., the 2015 University Department of Learning Knowledge and Skill Importance Questionnaire in Taiwan, and the University Department Exploratory Scale in Taiwan, the three knowledge forms of occupation, scholarship and the inner world of the individual. Based of Multidimensional scaling (MDS), Circular Unidimensional Scaling (CUS), Property Vector Fitting (PVF) and etc, we can comprehensively reconsider the structure modeling and the model fit within different knowledge combinations, construct the circumplex model of knowledge, and eventually explore the possible patterns, theories and application implications of the knowledge structure integrated into professional interest.
