As a result, this research employed a questionnaire, comprised of two parts regarding parents’ EI (PEI) and the family management (FM). The subjects were the parents in 11 public elementary School affiliated preschools. 481 valid questionnaires were collected. The effective response rate was therefore 74.2%. The analysis used the SPSS statistical software package. T-test and one-way ANOVA were used to test hypotheses. There are two main parts of six results in this study: (1) the rank order, from high to low, of the PEI runs as follows: the evaluation and expression of self-emotion, the management of interpersonal relationship, self-motivation and the management of self-emotion; (2) there were striking effects of the parents, the number of children, occupation and family’s total income on “the evaluation and expression of self-emotion” of PEI; (3) the parents’ ages and family structure are the significantly influential varieties on “interpersonal relationship” of PEI; (4) the number of children, birth order and marital status have great influence on one of FM, “the children’s regular unacceptable behavior”; (5) different family structures significantly affect the other part of FM, “the regular unacceptable interaction between husbands and wives”; (6) there were significant difference between “the regular unacceptable interaction between husbands and wives” of FM on “self-motivation” of PEI. To conclude, this study offers the following suggestions: (1) the government could offer the parents multiple respite system in favor of their positive EI development;(2) schools should hold the related communication course, such as mind-to-mind communication, parent-child communication and interpersonal communication, as much as possible; (3) the parents should have more positive attitude toward children’s problem. If necessary, they require to seek for help from the government; and (4) the husband and wife should strengthen their interaction through develop more attitude toward mutual trust, love and respect, and (5) The industry could set up their own kindergartens so that parents can effectively take care of the family and children in the work process.
