Before investigating the maximum photovoltaic capacity in distribution systems, this thesis tests voltage variation rate which is the most restrictive factors affecting the maximum photovoltaic capacity. Investigate the condition of voltage variation when the photovoltaic generation system is connected to the grid, and which factors will affect the rate of voltage variation rate. In this thesis, in order to solving the maximum photovoltaic capacity in distribution systems, the improved squirrel search algorithm(ISSA) is proposed to solve the problem of the maximum allowable photovoltaic capacity. In addition, considering the uncertain factors such as solar irradiation and load, the improved squirrel search algorithm combined with Monte Carlo method is used to photovoltaic capacity assessment with considering uncertainties. Show the applicability of the algorithm which is proposed in this thesis. IEEE-33Bus and IEEE-69Bus distribution systems are adopted for simulation, and the proposed algorithm is compared with other algorithms. The results show that the proposed algorithm can get good results.
