| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 企業管理系 === 107 === This research is based on the transmission component industry in Taiwan, and it explores the situation and characteristics of transmission component industry by means of five forces analysis and PESTEL analysis. Then the research chooses three transmission component manufacturers, GMT Global Inc., Hiwin Technologies Corp. and TBI Motion as analysis objects, describing the similarities and differences of strategies among the three companies in the different stages of growth by strategy posture. The research observations are as follows.
Observation 1: In transmission component industry, R&D and patent are the sources of competitive advantage.
Observation 2: Due to the irreplaceability of transmission components, it has growth potential in export market and trend of intelligent product in the future.
Observation 3: The three cases are different in strategy developments. The vertical integration level and product line breadth of Hiwin Technologies Corp. are higher than that of GMT Global Inc. and TBI Motion.
Observation 4: The products in three cases cross different market, not just excessively concentrated on the same market.
Observation 5: GMT Global Inc. and Hiwin Technologies Corp. have achieved technological development of new products and markets through vertical integration; TBI Motion specializes in product R&D and market development.
Observation 6: The Earnings per Share (EPS) and Return on Assets (ROA) of Hiwin Technologies Corp. are higher than that of TBI Motion and GMT Global Inc. And GMT Global Inc. has higher gross profit margin than others due to high customization.
Observation 7: Hiwin Technologies Corp. has better R&D capabilities than that of TBI Motion and GMT Global Inc.; therefore, it has advantages of patents.
